From Atlético
de Madrid
to rock bottom —
and back.
I played for Atlético de Madrid. I represented the USA and Venezuela national teams. From the outside, my career looked like everything a young player could want.
But inside I was falling apart. Fears I never faced. Insecurities I never talked about. And instead of taking responsibility — I blamed everyone around me. I went from being one of the best young strikers in the US program to sitting on the bench at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Not because of my knee. Because of my mind.
Nobody prepared me for any of this. I had to find the way out alone. And the way out was not training harder. It was finally understanding myself.
I built DECODED because nobody gave me this map when I needed it. I had to find it the hard way. You should not have to.
